Dave Mullikin | Principal at the ISEI

Dave Mullikin is an impactful Leader, Executive Coach, & Entrepreneur and has more than 40 years of Fortune 500 business and financial management experience bringing sophisticated business savvy, a consultative selling approach, and a mentoring style of coaching C-suite and senior executives in Leadership Consulting and Executive Outplacement. Dave has held a variety of executive positions within the healthcare, finance and consumer goods and services industries and is an active board member in a variety of professional and non-profit organizations. Most recently, Dave acquired three professional services firms two in the Denver market and one in Kansas City; CPI Colorado and CPI Kansas City providing Leadership Consulting, Executive Coaching, Staffing, and Transition services; and The Institute for Social & Emotional Intelligence providing teaching and global certification in the fields of social and EQ training and coaching. Dave also has a number of entrepreneurial interests in the Kansas City area including real estate, photography, coffee shop, event space, and hospitality operations. Dave owned and operated CSG Partners, a highly successful and growing consulting business serving Kansas City and the Midwest. Under Dave’s leadership the business grew ten-times revenue in under 3-years selling to Lee Hecht Harrison becoming the SVP and Managing Director for ten offices across ten states. Early in Dave’s career he joined the General Electric Management Development Program. During his fifteen years with GE Dave held progressively more responsible positions in finance, operations, customer service, and management. Additionally, he graduated from GE's Financial Management Program, traveled 3-years on the GE Corporate Audit Staff, participated in several executive-level training programs at GE's Crotonville campus, and attended a 30-day executive immersion program at The Wharton School for Sales Force Management.


Amy Sargent | Executive Director at the ISEI

Amy Sargent has worked in education for twelve years and most recently has managed operations, marketing and client services for various organizations in the Denver area. She currently serves as Executive Director at the Institute for Social + Emotional Intelligence. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, creative writing, and social media marketing as she connects with clients to establish solid rapport and trust. Her background in teaching and ministry has given her a unique ability to relate easily with others in a professional yet authentic manner.  Amy completed her Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Denver with an emphasis in Aesthetic Arts as well as an undergraduate degree in Theology from Ambassador University in Pasadena, California. She runs her consulting business, Adept Support Inc., and is a certified Social + Emotional Intelligence Coach, and has completed certification courses in Leader As Coach, Positive Psychology, and The Resilient Leader: Instilling Grit. When not working, she enjoys gardening, camping, adventure travel, kayaking, swing dancing, and writing inspirational personal narrative. 

Laura Belsten, Ph.D., MCC | Founder of the ISEI

Dr. Laura Belsten is an internationally known expert and author of the Social + Emotional Intelligence Profile®.  She has studied extensively with international EI experts, and she is certified in four other leading emotional intelligence instruments.  She has been on the faculty at the University of Denver for over 20 years where she teaches graduate courses in leadership and communication, including a graduate course in Coaching Emotional Intelligence.  She is an executive coach in private practice for over 18 years, a Master Certified Coach (MCC) through the International Coach Federation, and earned her Ph.D. in Leadership & Organizational Communication from the University of Denver in 1996.

Erin Cunningham, PCC

For over 15 years Erin Cunningham has had the privilege of helping over 3,000 candidates with personal, wellness, professional development and life transitions. Erin is currently the Director of Wellness Programs, Training and Leadership Development for the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center on the University of Colorado medical campus.  Erin is also pursuing her PhD in Organizational Leadership, Performance and Change.  Professionally, she focuses her efforts on delivery and administration of group learning and one-on-one coaching. She is a Master Certified Career Coach through CPI and is certified in New Horizons Retirement Planning.  Erin earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master's of Arts in Speech Communication.  Erin's career began in higher education where she worked with at-risk/non-traditional as well as student athlete populations. She later developed all corporate management and leadership programming for one of the nation's largest retailers. Erin's ability to create authentic, supportive environments which lead to structured action steps allows her and her clients to make meaningful progress towards their life and professional goals

Virg Setzer, M.S. | Executive Coach | Organizational Consultant at Performance Point Solutions, LLC

Virg Setzer has a M.S. in Organizational Performance and a B.S. in Business Administration.  He is a Certified Executive Coach, a Certified Social & Emotional Intelligence Coach and a Coach Certification Facilitator with the Institute for Social + Emotional Intelligence®.  He is certified as a Human Capital Strategist and serves on the adjunct faculty at the University of Colorado Denver Business School where he teaches undergraduate and graduate level Management. Virg is the founder and president of Performance Point Solutions where he provides executive coaching and organizational consulting to a broad range of businesses.  He has 35+ years in business with four major companies where he held positions in Operations Management, Organizational Development, and Human Resources.  He serves as chair of the Colorado Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association and as the faculty advisor to the UCD Student SHRM Chapter.  He served in the USAF and is a Vietnam Veteran.


Deborah Westcott, P.C.C. | Founder and CFO of coachEQ

Deborah Westcott is the Founder and CEO of coachEQ, an emotional intelligence coaching, training, and assessment organization. She has a coaching certificate as a Professional Certified Coach (P.C.C.) from the International Coaching Federation, as well as a Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work.  She is certified in two social and emotional intelligence assessments.  Deb has worked as a coach, consultant, speaker (both locally and nationally), educator, and psychotherapist for more than 30 years.  In addition to her coaching and consulting work, she has taught at Colorado State University and has served on many Colorado non-profit boards and commissions. Some of Deb's clients include IBM, Hewlett-Packard, national health organizations such as Trinity Health and Telecare Corp., and various women's professional networks around the country. Deb believes that one of the most important skills necessary for great leadership is emotional intelligence.  With an emphasis on emotional intelligence skill building, coachEQ helps to empower individuals, teams and organizations to succeed.  Deb's success is founded on her ability to develop a powerful, trusting relationship.  That bond helps to transform behavior and develop the skills needed to help clients reach their full potential as leaders.

Grant Herbert | Master Trainer at the ISEI® |Founder and CEO of People Builders

Using experience from his own journey of imperfection, Grant Herbert has empowered thousands of people to escape the performance trap and live their lives authentically. With over 35 years as a leadership trainer and coach, Grant has learned that the key to developing others is to first help them replace the mindsets and behaviors that are currently sabotaging their results. Once that platform is built, they actually implement what he teaches to ensure a high ROI. John Moore, P.C.C. | CEO at Moore-Strength

Colonel (Retired) John Moore, CEO of Moore Strength Executive Leadership and Business Advisors, is an ICF Credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and an ACTP Certified Executive Leadership, Business, and Marketing Coach. As a West Point graduate, Army Officer, and Airborne-Ranger John has been leading successful organizations and developing leaders for over 30 years.  He holds a Master of Arts in Leadership Development from the US Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Arts in Strategy Studies from the US Army War College, and a Bachelor of Science from the US Military Academy where he was a distinguished graduate in the top 5% of his class.  John’s leadership in key positions within organizations ranging from 30 to 180,000 people was marked by courage and a commitment to excellence in performance and character.  He has combat experience at every level and was the operational Chief of Staff during the surge in Iraq in 2007-2008.  His service at the Army’s major training command provided him important experience with the corporate level Army including strategic communications, marketing, resource allocation, organizational design, entrepreneurship, and change management.  As the Defense Coordinating Officer for FEMA Region VII he gained tremendous insight into civil-military relationships as well as the cultures of other government, non-government, and civilian business and non-profit organizations.  John implemented a wide range of post-Katrina improvements that became the model for the military response in support of FEM.
